November 18th from 1pm Edda Taylor, one of Indiana's renowned photographers, will display her great work at a Gallery showing at South Shore rts Main St. Crown Point location. On location will be dancers from Indiana Ballet Theatre as live art.

December 2nd dancers from the company will give highlights from Nutcracker at the Lake County Visitors and Concention Centre, Kennedy Avenue, Hammond.

With collaboration with the city of East Chicago.

During the evening we also had performances by the orchestra, Choir and IBT Ballet Company. A great event that is in the planning again for next year; February 27th 2009.

Indiana Ballet Theatre (IBT) hosted a Master class in Ballet and Contemporary dance by Indianapolis Russian Ballet. IBT will be collaborating with this non-profit group in the near future. More will be posted about this event as we get the names of the dancers that will attend their summer intensive.

IBT also hosted a lecture by Peter Sklar, New York producer. Mr. Sklar gave individual interviews to each student upon request and 7 of the 20 students in attendance were invited to New York and London for special work shops where they will study under the best in each performing catagory for Broadway; acting, singing, dancing and learn good eating habits to survive in the busy lifestyle of a performer. Names of IBT students that will attend this work shop are: Jordan Mazur, Francesca Polizotto and Terrah Slawnikowski, seven other students who attended the event will join them.
