June 2012: European Trip
This June, 23 dancers and family members from IBT, went on an educational tour to Cesenatico Italy, Paris, London, Hampshire/Wiltshire. In Italy the dancers performed and competed in the Grand Prix with 14 other countries; they won two first place cups. An overnight train took them to Paris, as well as seeing all the wonderful architecture they took classes in the centre of Paris. Next on to London and class at the prestigious Pineapple Studio. The dancers performed in Covent Garden and Trafalgar Square; they also loved the markets. The next stop was the town of Romsey in Hampshire where the captain of the Titanic was buried. There they had a fun class in African dancing in Bournemouth at Pavilion Dance, and a tour of this marvelous historic Pavilion that dance has made successful. All travelers saw first hand how the arts is supported from a global perspective; a trip they will never forget.
