Kayla Sheets has been dancing since the age of 3 where she got her start dancing at Patrica's School of the Dance. At age 6, she was cast as a pumpkin for IBT's production of Cinderella. She has been cast in every production, since 2001, including Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Thumbelina, Coppelia (as Coppelia herself) and many of the Nutcrackers. Her most recent ballet performances include a Midnight in Cinderella and as a Snowflake, Flower Petal, and Arabian Slave in this year's 2010 production of the Nutcracker.

Kayla also sings and received her first break in 4th grade singing a solo in the school's Nifty Note program and again in her 8th grade choir performance of Seussical the Musical staring as Gertrude. Gertrude "Notice Me Horton" to get him to notice her.. She has won a gold metals in the yearly ISSMA competition.

Kayla, in addition to her love for the arts, is a very academic student who just recently joined the schoo'ls Academic Decathlon team. She is an A, B student and has been on the honor roll since 6th grade. In her free time she plays table top games with her friends in order to broaden her mind and make her think more outside of the box. She also ran hurdles and wrestled for the school to help strengthen herself physically.
